A charming route that takes advantage of the old Guadix-Almendricos railway route, disused since 1985, to offer a unique active tourism experience in the heart of the Almanzora Valley, in Almeria. The route crosses spectacular landscapes such as the Sierra de los Filabres and the Almanzora River Valley.. Throughout the entire route that connects the Sierra de Baza Greenway and the Iron Greenway, now unified as Vía Verde del Almanzora, The route will cross the old train stations, some of them refurbished today as cafeterias and rest areas.; in the second part of the route, The route will detour towards Cuevas del Almanzora and, thence, to Garrucha and Mojácar along the Ciclocalle del Almanzora. Thanks to the temperate climate of Almanzora, The greenway is perfect to enjoy, especially in spring., when the field blooms, or in autumn, when the colors turn golden and the landscape always has something new to offer.
